ABOUT JESSIE

Jessie is honored to walk alongside people in their health and career journeys. Her own journey has included shifting her behaviors and mindset in order to overcome 7-years of chronic pain. She strongly believes in the power of self-compassion, gratitude, connection, and achievable and fun goals. 

​

She is an NBC-HWC (national board certified health and wellness coach), and has a master's in career and college counseling from San Francisco State University.

Jessie gave me the encouragement I needed to change my mindset about healthy eating while giving me tools to feel in control of my pain/fear after a major knee surgery. Before I started this process, I fully doubted that I would be able to lose weight and actually keep up with healthy eating habits given my history of getting tired of it after a couple of weeks and giving up. But two months into this health journey, I am still using the tools discussed in my first session with Jessie on a daily basis. I learned that I am fully capable of sticking with the habits I’ve developed and that I can get back on track when I start to lose sight of my goals. More than anything, I’ve regained the willpower and dedication to healthy eating that I had been missing for years. I also saw some unexpected improvement in areas that I didn’t really know were things I could work on in health coaching (particularly knee pain management and mental recovery after traumatic injury).

 I found the focus on concrete and applicable solutions to be very helpful during my sessions with Jessie. Through health coaching I became more aware of my thoughts and emotions, and I approached my routine and wellness with greater intentionality. I learned that being stuck in a rut is not inevitable and that I can always get out of it.
